Tomorrow, July 15, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Yury Gatala, who died in the fight against the Russian invaders. The funeral will be held in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, the serviceman will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery. The City Hall urges you to join the farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertaining events and celebrations during this time.<\/p>\n
At 11:00 a.m., the funeral service will begin in the Garrison Church, at 11:30 a.m. a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square. After that, the funeral procession will go to the Lychakiv cemetery.<\/p>\n

Blue and yellow flags with a mourning ribbon will be hung on the buildings along the route of the convoy.<\/p>\n

Biographical reference of the Hero<\/p>\n
Yuri Gatala (14.05.1971-10.07.2022). A native of Lviv. From 1977 to 1986, he studied at Lyceum No. 45 of the Lviv City Council. In 1988, he graduated from vocational school No. 53 of Lviv.
\nIn peacetime, he was engaged in entrepreneurial activities. During 2013-2014, he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity.<\/p>\n
With the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, he served in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as part of which he defended the Luhansk TPP. From the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he defended Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Soldier. In April 2022, he was transferred to the 122nd separate airmobile battalion of the 81st separate airmobile brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Died in battle on July 10, 2022.<\/p>\n
