The relevant decision was taken today by the executive committee of the Lviv City Council. A parking lot for 77 cars will be built on the territory of the State Enterprise “Research Institute of Metrology of Measuring and Control Systems”.<\/p>\n
As explained by the deputy director of the department of urban mobility and street infrastructure of the LMR, Dmytro Petsiy, the arrangement of such a site in the nearby center will allow to reduce the time of transportation of temporarily detained cars.<\/p>\n
According to Yuriy Dyakovych, deputy head of the security department of the LMR, there are currently 2 sites in the city where evacuated cars are stored – on the street 13 Konyushynnii Street and St. Trolley bus, 1.<\/p>\n
“Transportation of cars to these locations takes a lot of time. For example, to transport the offending car to the street. Clover and back from there, the tow truck needs 2 hours. On the street Trolleybus – an hour and a half. And with such a site in the nearby center, the evacuation will take 20-25 minutes,” Yuriy Dyakovych said.<\/p>\n
In accordance with the decision of the executive committee, the department of urban mobility and street infrastructure of the LMR should develop a Program for the implementation of measures to arrange the site. And LKP “Institute of Spatial Development” – to provide project proposals for its arrangement.<\/p>\n
According to the information of the security department of the LMR, an average of 15 cars are evacuated every day in Lviv, which create significant obstacles for traffic. In order to return the car, the offending driver must pay UAH 2,234 – this is the minimum cost of one evacuation service in Lviv.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
