The Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Oblast informs about activities in cultural institutions.<\/p>\n
\u200bIn order to draw attention to the philosophy of freedom of the spirit, a new understanding of the thinker’s philosophical and religious worldview, the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion (1 Muzeyna Square) is hosting the exhibition “Wisdom as a Weapon”. This is a project of Sofia Kaskun, a researcher at the museum, with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.<\/p>\n
The exhibition is based on the visualization of the spiritual heritage of the philosopher, familiarization of a wide range of visitors with the wisdom of Skovoroda’s worldview and life advice, which would make it easier to perceive the challenges of wartime. The works of 22 authors working in the field of painting and graphics were presented at the exhibition. The project united different generations of artists and different art schools from all over Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The exhibition also presents 58 thematic posters by students of design and advertising faculties of three universities: Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, and Kyiv University of Culture.<\/p>\n
\u200bIn the National Museum in Lviv named after Andrey Sheptytskyi, on December 3 at 3:00 p.m. (Svobody Ave. 20, Lviv) the opening of the art project “The one whose conscience is like a clear crystal…” The monumental exposition-fountain “Equality is not equal to all” will take place “, posters on the topic of the Pannadyn, a timeline infographic about the philosopher’s life, lectures by famous scientists and teachers.<\/p>\n
\u200bOn Friday, December 9, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Grigory Skovoroda, for the first time in the repertoire of the Lviv National Opera and the national opera theaters of Ukraine – the premiere of the modern ballet “Know Yourself” to the music of Dmytro Danov. Vasyl Vovkun’s modern production is the quintessence of the great thinker’s ideas and thoughts and demonstrates how relevant and timeless they are.
