“Rex” hit our mortar battery even before the release of Izyum, jumping into the back of the car on the move. No matter how trite it sounds, he felt that we were liberating the occupied territories. Since then, he and I have been inseparable,” says his friend and host Ivan.<\/p>\n
During the months of active hostilities, “Rex” visited many hot spots, almost everywhere where the Lviv paratroopers fought. And one day, he received a shrapnel wound on his paw, the dog was treated and put into action.<\/p>\n
“The four-legged friend does not miss a single combat trip, and is constantly present at the firing positions of the mortar unit. It distinguishes well between departures and arrivals, reacts to possible enemy fire.
