Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Pustomytov District Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 47-year-old businessman for the fact of misappropriation of someone else’s property, forgery of official documents and their known use (Part 1 of Article 191, Part 1, Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
The investigation established that in 2021 the accused won a tender for the repair of one of the kindergartens in one of the territorial communities of the Lviv district. According to the terms of the concluded contract, the person involved had to repair the premises and the roof.<\/p>\n
After the completion of the construction works, the contractor falsified official documents, overestimating the cost of the materials used and the amount of work performed. On the basis of which he was unjustly paid more than UAH 100,000. from the local budget.<\/p>\n
After notifying the accused about the suspicion of committing crimes, he compensated the losses caused to the budget.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.<\/p>\n
