The performance began with Chamber Symphony No. 3 by the luminary of Ukrainian classical music Yevhen Stankovych. The First Piano Concerto by Johannes Brahms was announced as the next number of the program, with a solo performance by the famous Ukrainian-American pianist Stanislav Khristenko.<\/p>\n
The third piece on the program was Antonin Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s Ninth Symphony “From the New World”, which became world famous after its world premiere here at Carnegie Hall.<\/p>\n
