LKP “Lvivavtodor” serves 161 traffic light objects in Lviv MTG. In December of last year, LKP “Lvivavtodor” together with the Department of Mobility and Street Infrastructure of LMR and the Department of Patrol Police in the Lviv Region agreed on a list of critical traffic light objects located in the places of concentration of road accidents, which should be provided with backup power as a priority in the conditions of regular power outages.<\/p>\n

Specialists of LKP “Lvivavtodor” considered the following 4 options for the use of alternative sources of electricity for critical traffic light objects based on 8 hours of activity, but this requires from UAH 7.5 million to almost 20 million:<\/p>\n
the purchase of industrial gel batteries will cost UAH 7,539,000 (the cost of one set is UAH 359,000),
\nlithium iron-phosphate batteries (LIFEPO4) in UAH 9,765,000 (the cost of the set is UAH 465,000),
\nlithium titanium batteries (LTO) in the amount of UAH 10,395,000 (the cost of the set is UAH 495,000),
\nsolar batteries in the amount of UAH 19,950,000 (the cost of the set is UAH 950,000).<\/p>\n
In the conditions of limited financing of LKP “Lvivavtodor” found an alternative solution – to use sources of alternative energy from legal entities and individuals located in the area of 1000 m from the necessary traffic light object. “Lvivavtodor” LKP is currently negotiating with 5 legal entities. If it is possible to reach agreements, 16 critical traffic light objects out of 21 will be provided with uninterrupted operation.<\/p>\n
