In February, the basin management of water resources of the Western Bug and Syan rivers conducted another monitoring of surface water quality within the Ukrainian part of the Vistula river basin.<\/p>\n
Monitoring was carried out at 23 approved observation points, namely at 17 sites of the Western Bug sub-basin and 6 of the Xiangu sub-basin.<\/p>\n
According to the results of the analysis, high concentrations of physico-chemical and chemical indicators of water quality were found:<\/p>\n
in the Poltva River – by the content of dissolved oxygen, organic, biogenic substances, SPAR, halogenated hydrocarbons, heavy metals, pesticides, etc.;
\nin the Western Bug River below the mouth of the Poltva River – by the content of organic and biogenic substances;
\nin the Marunka River below the town of Vinnyki – in terms of the content of organic and biogenic substances;
\nin the river Svinya below the city of Zhovkva – in terms of the content of organic and biogenic substances;
\nin the Malekhivka River (Malekhiv village) – by the content of organic and biogenic substances.<\/p>\n
According to the obtained monitoring results, compared to the previous reporting period (January 2023), water quality improved in the “R. Western Bug – the city of Busk”, in other points the situation has not changed significantly.<\/p>\n
