The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against four members of an organized group on the facts of illegal use of an industrial design without the owner’s permission (Part 3 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
The investigation established that silencers for rifled weapons were illegally manufactured in Lviv on the territory of a private enterprise.<\/p>\n
Local residents – father and son – organized underground production. A friend and an employee of the enterprise were also involved in the group. The members of the group produced silencers and branded them under the logo of a well-known Ukrainian brand.<\/p>\n
They bought a fake through online classifieds platforms at a lower price than the manufacturer. Their customers were usually military personnel or their relatives.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Department of the National Police of the region, operational support was carried out by the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Lviv Region of the SSR of the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.<\/p>\n
