Today, May 3, within the framework of cooperation with Lviv OVA, Lviv IT Cluster handed over 75 Starlink terminals for the needs of Ukrainian defenders.<\/p>\n
Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA, said that the terminals will be handed over to the military, whose units perform tasks in areas of active hostilities. This will allow them to have uninterrupted access to backup communication channels.<\/p>\n
“Thank you to Lviv IT-Cluster for another help. Most of the projects that we implement together are aimed at helping the civilian population of the region, in particular, the installation of surveillance cameras, as well as the updating of the equipment of the “Zakhid” PvK for better protection against enemy missiles. Thanks to the IT Cluster, we provided the civil infrastructure with additional sources of communication. We will direct the Starlinks that were handed over to us today to the needs of the brigades located on the front and near-front territories. We constantly receive requests from the military to improve communication, so we will hand over all the Starlinks we received today to the military so that they have constant access to the Internet and communication under any conditions,” Maksym Kozytskyi emphasized.<\/p>\n
CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster, Stepan Veselovskyi, said that this is only one of the projects that the cluster implements together with the regional military administration.<\/p>\n
“One of the areas we have chosen for ourselves is providing critical infrastructure and the military with additional communication channels. We are pleased to work with Lviv OVA, because for us this is a confirmation that these Starlinks will definitely go where they are most needed. OVA has established contacts and connections with all military units and clearly understands who needs this vital connection the most. I am sincerely glad that we can continue to help, we are not slowing down and we are working towards victory,” said Stepan Veselovskyi.<\/p>\n
In addition, during the entire duration of the project, the Lviv IT Cluster community handed over 115 Starlink terminals to Lviv OVA. In general, from the first day of the full-scale invasion, the Lviv IT Cluster provided the most important institutions and institutions of the western region of Ukraine with more than 400 terminals.<\/p>\n
