The Western Interregional Territorial Branch of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has started the investigation of the case based on signs of violation of legislation on the protection of economic competition by the Zhovkiv City Council (Lviv Region).<\/p>\n
It is about setting different rates of real estate tax for individuals and legal entities operating in the same market. Such actions contain signs of a violation of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Economic Competition”, in the form of anti-competitive actions of a local self-government body, which may lead to the restriction of competition in the market for the sale of goods, provision of services and performance of works in the territory of the Zhovkiv urban territorial community.<\/p>\n
This fact was established by the Department during the implementation of state control measures for compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of economic competition by local self-government bodies of the Lviv region.<\/p>\n
