On May 8, 2023, the Western Interregional Territorial Branch of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine began examining the case on grounds of violation of legislation on the protection of economic competition by the joint-stock company “Operator of the gas distribution system “Lvivgaz”. We are talking about the establishment of illegal requirements of Lvivgaz JSC for customers of services, in particular, the deprivation of the right to independently choose the executor of technical supervision of the construction of internal gas supply networks at their own discretion. The Department established this fact during the review of the application, which related to the technical conditions for joining the gas distribution systems of Lvivgaz JSC.<\/p>\n
The specified actions of JSC “Lvivgaz” contain signs of violation of the legislation on the protection of economic competition, namely, abuse of the monopoly position on the market of services for connecting the customer’s facilities to gas distribution systems within the territory of the city of Lviv and the Lviv region, – noted in the Western Interregional Territorial department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine<\/p>\n
