In the historical building of Lviv on Sq. M. Shashkevych, 2 balcony block and three plastic windows were replaced with wooden ones. This became possible thanks to the participation of residents of the apartment building in the co-financing program. Specialists made new windows and a balcony block based on the model of the preserved authentic ones in this house.<\/p>\n
The restorers also managed to reproduce brass handles similar to those preserved in the house.<\/p>\n
“The total cost of restoration works amounted to UAH 221,784. Thanks to the co-financing program, residents will pay only 50% of the cost, and the German Eberghard Schock Foundation will pay the rest.” We thank the specialists for such a great job, and the residents – for participating in the program,” said the “Heritage Bureau” LKP.<\/p>\n
We will remind you that last year, in cooperation with the residents, two plastic windows were replaced with wooden ones at 12 Parkovya Street. And last year in Lviv, 12 windows and balcony blocks were replaced from plastic ones to wooden ones.<\/p>\n
In addition, according to the program of co-financing of the restoration of wooden windows and the replacement of plastic windows with wooden ones, 60% of the cost of work is paid by the city council, and 40% by residents.
