In yesterday’s evening address, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the results of the latest international meetings on issues of supporting Ukraine in the war against Russia.<\/p>\n
“We are ending this very difficult, but very important week. Friday is the Arab League. Saturday and Sunday – G7 plus Ukraine and an even more expanded format – seven plus partners, including the Global South, plus Ukraine. Intensely.<\/p>\n
The world hears our position. Protection and security guarantees, the return of all our territories, all our people, justice, the implementation of our peace formula… We have an understanding with the world majority on every important point for Ukraine. And together we will increase Ukrainian potential,” the President said.<\/p>\n
In Hiroshima, Ukraine was a truly honorable participant in the work of the “Big Seven”. The Ukrainian theme is central, respect for all Ukrainians is special. Meeting with President Biden – as always, we become stronger after such negotiations. The meeting with the leader of Indonesia is meaningful. Meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea – there is potential for strong relations. He spoke with the leaders of Vietnam and Australia, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau. We talked separately and in detail with the Prime Minister of Japan – we will strengthen cooperation.<\/p>\n
The President also talked about the important ceremony and address at the Peace Museum in Hiroshima.<\/p>\n
“Our unity with the world, our protection for Ukrainians and our strength – the strength of the Ukrainian state – will be the most worthy tribute to the memory of our people – of different generations – whose lives were broken and trampled by Russian evil, this long-standing tyranny that changes shape, but kills equally brutally,” added Volodymyr Zelenskyi.<\/p>\n
He also noted that yesterday, May 21, is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression… The Day of Remembrance of all those who were killed during the years of the Soviet regime.<\/p>\n
