For servicemen captured or missing, payments are kept in the amount of official salary at the last place of service, salary according to military rank, seniority allowance, other monthly additional types of financial support, which is paid monthly to the families of the specified servicemen (clause 6 of the article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On social and legal protection of military personnel and their family members”).<\/p>\n
In addition, if such a fact is established, a person and\/or his family members can receive state aid in the amount of UAH 100,000.<\/p>\n
Payment of monetary support is made from the date of capture of servicemen or hostages to family members of servicemen upon their application in the name of the commander (chief, head) of a military unit (institution, organization).<\/p>\n

Importantly! Payment of financial support to family members of servicemen who voluntarily surrendered, voluntarily left military units (institutions, organizations), places of service or deserted is not carried out.<\/p>\n
We would like to remind you that the Regional Center of the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War operates in Lviv Region, where they provide informational, advisory and necessary specialized support to the families of prisoners and missing persons, as well as assistance to those released from captivity in undergoing rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation measures.<\/p>\n
