The prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office conducted a pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against a citizen of Ukraine for collaborative activity (Part 7, Item 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, in May 2022, a resident of Luhansk region voluntarily went over to the side of the enemy. He took the position of the head of the illegal law enforcement body “Skadovskoye district department of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kherson region”, created in the temporarily occupied territory.<\/p>\n
In this way, he ensured the formation and strengthening of the occupation power of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n
In his “position”, the accused carried out organizational measures to select candidates and employees for the ranks of the so-called police for service, gave instructions to newly appointed employees regarding trips to the places of events. In addition, the suspect gave instructions regarding the illegal detention and release of detained citizens.<\/p>\n
The man also performed other illegal tasks assigned by representatives of the Russian security forces.<\/p>\n
A special pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SBU Office in the Lviv Region.<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.<\/p>\n
