As a result of a Russian missile attack on Lviv on July 6, 10 people were killed. This was announced this morning by the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, following the completion of search and rescue operations at the site of the shelling.<\/p>\n
“As a result of yesterday’s rocket attack on an apartment building in Lviv, 10 people died. One person was found at night, another one this morning.<\/p>\n
In addition, 42 people were injured. 16 of them were hospitalized.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the rescuers and all the services and volunteers who, despite the downpour, did not stop searching throughout the night.<\/p>\n
Where it was safe, representatives of the police, social services and housing and communal services helped local residents to take personal belongings from their apartments,” said the head of the Lviv Oblast.<\/p>\n
He also expressed his gratitude to the communities that arrived at the scene of the tragedy to help the residents of the damaged house and to all those who cleared the debris.<\/p>\n
In particular, to the volunteers of the “Medical and Psychological Assistance” at the Main Railway Station of Lviv, who immediately reacted to the tragedy and went to the scene of events. Together with representatives of the Czech humanitarian organization “People in Need”, they provided psychological, medical and humanitarian assistance to all who needed it. Currently, Ihor Kobrin is coordinating the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the spot. Also thanks to the organizations Neeka, “Rokada”, “Friends of the Community of St. Egidius”, Ecumenical Service, Malta Service, UNICEF, Hias, Solidarites International and everyone who did not remain indifferent.<\/p>\n
