On July 20, 2023, the Western Interregional Territorial Branch of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine began examining the case based on signs of violation of the legislation on the protection of economic competition by the joint-stock company “Operator of the gas distribution system “Lvivgaz”.<\/p>\n
We are talking about the defendant setting excessive requirements for customers of services for connection to gas distribution systems, in particular, their obligation to carry out, on a fee-based basis, the agreement with JSC “Lvivgaz” of the design and estimate documentation of external gas supply, which was produced by JSC “Lvivgaz”. The Department established these facts during its own initiative investigation of compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of economic competition in the field of connection to gas distribution systems within the territory of the city of Lviv and the Lviv region.<\/p>\n
The specified actions of JSC “Lvivgaz” contain signs of violation of the legislation on the protection of economic competition, namely, the abuse of a monopoly position during the provision of services for connection to gas distribution systems within the territory of the city of Lviv and the Lviv region.
