The first 30 mobile fire groups, which will shoot down kamikaze drones in the Lviv Region, have already been handed over to the “West” Air Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
This was announced by the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.<\/p>\n
According to him, a total of 60 fire groups are planned to be handed over by the end of the month. The cost of completing one group is UAH 500,000.<\/p>\n
“This is half of the number of groups created by Lviv OVA, PvK Zahid and socially responsible business. We plan to complete and deliver the next 30 within a month. They will serve a new unit on the territory of the region – a separate air defense battalion of the Ground Forces.<\/p>\n
The cost of completing one group is about UAH 500,000. This is without taking into account the price of transport. Each group includes a machine equipped with thermal imagers, night vision devices, laser pointers, flashlights, sights, tablets and weapons for shooting down attack drones,” Maksym Kozytskyi said.<\/p>\n
In total, 28 million hryvnias were accumulated for the equipment. Donors donate cars for free. The groups were formed according to the requests of the military, tested and modified so that our defenders could effectively destroy enemy targets in any weather and at night.<\/p>\n
“We collected all the means we had at the time, tested them, and chose the best of what was on the market and within the available financial resources.
