It has been previously established that a conflict arose between the men, during which the guest hit the owner of the apartment numerous times with a wooden stick on the head, causing fatal injuries.<\/p>\n
As the law enforcement officers established, on November 16, around 5:00 p.m., in one of the apartments in a building on Volodymyr Velyky Street, a 56-year-old man from Lviv and his 50-year-old neighbor, who came to visit him, had a conflict, during which the guest assaulted the owner numerous blows with a wooden stick on the head and other parts of the body. The man died from his injuries at the scene.<\/p>\n
The following were involved in solving the crime: the investigative and operative group, operatives of the criminal police and employees of other services of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2.<\/p>\n
The law enforcement officers detained the perpetrator in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office, informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime provided for in Part 1 of Article 115 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.<\/p>\n
