Attempts to illegally import undeclared goods under the guise of humanitarian aid were thwarted by border guards together with customs officials at the checkpoint “Krakowec”.<\/p>\n
A 52-year-old Ukrainian was traveling from Poland to Ukraine in a Renault minibus. During the inspection, the driver reported that he was transporting humanitarian aid for one of the charitable foundations of the city of Chernivtsi.<\/p>\n
Based on the information of operatives regarding the possible illegal importation of goods, the car was sent for additional inspection. During the inspection, the border guards together with the customs officers found out that the fund is expecting a shipment of tactical shoes. However, during the inspection of the cargo, the inspection team found 75 pairs of women’s shoes of the brand “UGG” and 120 pcs. cosmetics L’Oreal Paris.<\/p>\n
