All his life, the boy struggled with a congenital ailment – a complex cleft palate. The defect was not just cosmetic, it changed the quality of life: food got into his nose, and because of the straw, the boy could not drink at all.<\/p>\n
The first operation to close the lip defect was performed at the age of 3 months. By the age of 10, he managed to close the defect of the soft palate. The doctors could not close the tumor.<\/p>\n
Artem’s family did not stop trying to consult maxillofacial surgeons throughout the country. But each operation made the next one more difficult, because of the scars, the tissues became immobile, so it was difficult to form a flap to close the defect.<\/p>\n

“We decided to look for more options and found a solution in Lviv. The very next day, we rushed from Kyiv to Lviv, got to a consultation, and here we were offered a new solution that suited us and my son perfectly,” said the patient’s mother.<\/p>\n
