The prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment against the lawyer to the court. He is accused of receiving an unlawful benefit for influencing decision-making by persons authorized to perform state functions (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
The investigation established that the lawyer assured the suspect, who is currently in a pre-trial detention center according to the court’s decision, that he had an influence on the law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n
And what for a monetary reward can resolve the issue of changing the preventive measure to a more lenient one.<\/p>\n
The price of such a service is 4,175 USD.<\/p>\n
The accused was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during the receipt of an unlawful benefit.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Department of the National Police of the region under the operational support of the SBU Department in Lviv region.<\/p>\n
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.<\/p>\n
