The court recognized the inaction of the balance holder as unlawful and ordered it to bring the civil defense facility into proper technical condition and readiness for its intended use.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors found that there is a radiation shelter in one of the villages of the Turkivska territorial community (Sambir district). The total area of the premises is almost 280 square meters.<\/p>\n
According to the technical passport, it can accommodate 300 people.<\/p>\n
The balance holder of this civil defense facility is a local government body. The latter, neglecting the safety of people, did not take measures to bring the protective structure into a state of readiness and use it for its intended purpose. Accordingly, the shelter could not be used for its intended purpose.<\/p>\n
The court upheld the validity of the prosecutor’s claims and satisfied the claim in full.<\/p>\n
After the court decision enters into force, the prosecutor’s office will take measures to ensure that the city council immediately complies with it.<\/p>\n
