It was established that during 2021-2023, the responsible person of a company operating in the field of retail trade in pharmaceutical (medicinal) products evaded paying tax and military duty. In particular, the company underestimated and, accordingly, failed to pay income tax on the income actually received by the business entity.<\/p>\n
In the course of the pre-trial investigation, the company’s employee was served a notice of suspicion of intentional tax evasion (part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
As part of the criminal proceedings, the damages were compensated in full.<\/p>\n
In addition, during 2023-2024, the groups of companies that are part of the network reimbursed a total of more than UAH 20 million in unpaid taxes and fees.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Lviv region.<\/p>\n
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict.<\/p>\n
