“We are working to make parking spaces for people with disabilities as safe and comfortable as possible. We are looking for various options and solutions to improve them. For example, for the first time in Lviv, we have started arranging parking spaces for people with disabilities by sharing a part of the pedestrian zone adjacent to the car park. This solution will soon be implemented on Bandera Street,” explained Lvivavtodor.<\/p>\n
Work on the inclusive parking space on S. Bandera Street began last Friday. They are to be completed by the end of this week.<\/p>\n
As Lvivavtodor reminded, according to the updated state building codes, the width of the parking area for a person with a disability should be at least 3.5 metres. “Not everywhere in Lviv this is possible. Therefore, where possible, parking spaces have been expanded, and where this is not possible, we are looking for other solutions. As, for example, on S. Bandera Street,” Lvavtodor added.<\/p>\n
As a reminder, Lvavtodor currently operates 109 car parks, including tourist car parks on Kryvonosa Street and Vynnychenka Street. There are also two car parks on Torfiana Street and Chervona Kalynya Avenue. The entire list is available on the website on an interactive Google map.
