The tournament was attended by 171 athletes from 20 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv.<\/p>\n
On February 23, the Ukrainian Indoor Track and Field Cup was held at the athletics arena of the summer sports training base of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
“These are the first all-Ukrainian track and field competitions among adults to be held in Lviv since 1998. This became possible due to the recent reconstruction of the athletics arena. The program of the Ukrainian Cup was very intense: running at various distances, high jump, long jump, pole vault and triple jump, as well as shot put,” says Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.<\/p>\n
Among the athletes from Lviv region, the first places were won by the following:<\/p>\n
Maksym Karaim and Yuliana Rachynska – 1500 meters (O. Demianiuk Children’s and Youth Sports School)
\nStepan Demianchuk – shot put (SHVSM)
\nAlina Listunova – long jump (Children’s and Youth Sports School No. 1, Chervonohrad)
\nYulia Zorina – 60 m dash (KZ CYSS named after D. Obbarius)<\/p>\n
The second places were taken by:<\/p>\n
Yulia Havryliak (Grigorieva) – 800 m
\nIvan Brus – shot put
\nKostyantyn Kolyada – 2000 m with\/without
\nHalyna Matviy – 60 meters (O. Demianiuk Children’s and Youth Sports School)
\nNazar Borutskyi – high jump (Central Sports School of the Ministry of Education and Science)
\nAnastasia Matviyok – high jump (School of Artistic and Veterinary Medicine)
\nZoryana Olivko – triple jump (Kutenko Children and Youth Sports School)<\/p>\n
