On March 14, at the cemetery in Sokal, next to the Alley of Glory, on which our Heroes rest, a memorial sign “Bell of Memory” was consecrated. The initiative to build such a memorial belongs to People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mykhailo Bondar.<\/p>\n
This was reported in the Sokal City Council.<\/p>\n
The beams on the supports for the bell are a bumper from the “Ural” car that came under enemy fire and metal fragments brought from Izyum, Druzhkivka, and Konstantinivka.<\/p>\n
Priests, the authorities, the families of fallen Heroes, and Sokal residents were present at the event of consecration of the bell. The commemorative evening was prepared by the teachers and students of the Sokal Academy of Arts. Fathers Yaroslav Kashchuk, Volodymyr Zharsky and Mykhailo Nazar consecrated the memorial.<\/p>\n
As Father Yaroslav Kashchuk noted, now all of Ukraine is crying and sobbing for the fallen Heroes. At the cemetery, on the graves, fathers, wives, children come and cry, talk about their regrets, sadness, stone on the soul, share the most intimate with the closest relatives who died and now rest in the raw earth. The families of the dead, captured, missing Defenders bear a heavy burden, their hearts and thoughts are always with their closest relatives.<\/p>\n
Mykhailo Bondar, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Mayor Serhiy Kasyan, Andriy Dyachenko, head of the Chervonograd RVA, addressed the families of the fallen Heroes and all those present with mournful words, Alina Lutchyn from the families of the Heroes, and Mykola Pasko from the volunteers.<\/p>\n
The families of the fallen Heroes wept bitterly, because the war took away the most precious from them – sons, husbands, brothers. These Heroes, who rest on the Walk of Fame, firmly believed that victory would come, we must see their cause through to the end.<\/p>\n
Let this symbolic bell notify us as soon as possible about the victory of Ukraine in this difficult struggle.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
