Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office discovered a controversial subcontract, the result of which was supposed to be the illegal allocation of funds from the budget for a total amount of over UAH 41 million.<\/p>\n
It was found that a contract for the construction of a new public complex was concluded between the Novoyavoriv City Council and the company. We are talking about a club, a dispensary, a sports complex and a library in one of the villages of the Yavoriv district.<\/p>\n
However, according to the monitoring of the State Audit Service, the contractor was wrongfully recognized as the winner of the tender, as the required documents were missing when submitting the application. In particular, the calculations of the contractual price, as well as the terms of the contract, did not meet the requirements of the tender documentation and the proposal regarding the schedule of the performed works.<\/p>\n
In this regard, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to declare the subcontract invalid. The parties agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor and terminated the disputed contract without waiting for the court’s decision.<\/p>\n
Therefore, based on the results of the representative measures taken, it was possible to prevent the improper use of budget funds.<\/p>\n
