As a reminder, Lvivavtodor specialists have recently programmed a new traffic signal control mode called \u201csmart intersection\u201d at this section. This is an intelligent system where the duration of the green signal for each direction is adjusted according to the need, taking into account the traffic flow in each lane, the distance between cars, traffic delays, etc. In addition, the most effective green signal duration for the next traffic light cycle is calculated and proposed every minute.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the first such \u2018smart intersection\u2019 not only in Lviv but also in Ukraine. No one has done this before. We already have the first results on the effectiveness of such a change in traffic light regulation. According to the data from the installed video detectors, the total capacity of the Pasichna-Pyrohivka intersection has increased by up to 25%.
