As of today, only a quarter of passengers choose cash as a form of payment. This was reported by Lvivavtodor.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;In December last year, the first week of cashless payment, 44% of paid passengers paid cash to the driver. In February this year, the figure was 22%. And in April, it was 19.5%. This is 2.2 times less than it was at the beginning of the introduction of cashless fares. So, more and more passengers prefer cashless payments because it is much cheaper and more convenient. As a reminder, buying a paper ticket with a QR code from the driver is the most expensive payment method: UAH 20 for one trip,&#8221; noted Lvivavtodor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The utility company also added that over 5 months, about 40 million trips were registered in public transport in Lviv.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, 65% of city public transport passengers pay for\/register their trips with LeoCards &#8211; general, student, pupil and privileged cards.
