Prosecutors of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office found a disputed contract, which was supposed to result in the illegal allocation of funds from the budget totalling over UAH 35 million.<\/p>\n
It was found that in July 2023, a contract was concluded between a lyceum in Stryi district and the company. It was a major overhaul of the dormitory of the above-mentioned educational institution.<\/p>\n
However, according to the State Audit Service’s monitoring, the contractor was unlawfully recognised as the winner of the tender, as the application was missing mandatory documents. In particular, calculations of the contract price, local estimates and calculations of total production costs.<\/p>\n
Also, after opening the tender proposal, the procuring entity found inconsistencies in the information and documents, but the contractor did not correct them. However, the procuring entity did not reject the tender offer of the procurement participant, but recognised it as the winner of the tender and entered into an agreement with it.<\/p>\n
In response to the violations, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to invalidate the contract.<\/p>\n
The parties agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments and terminated the disputed agreement without waiting for the court’s decision.<\/p>\n
As a result of the representative measures taken, the misuse of budget funds was prevented.<\/p>\n
