According to the investigation, two residents of Donetsk region during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, as well as a native of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during the ATO, voluntarily sided with the enemy. They joined the illegal armed formation of the “people’s police” of the “dnR” terrorist organisation.<\/p>\n
The men served as part of the 3rd Rifle Battalion of the 129th Regiment (military unit 12961) and the 1st Motorised Rifle Battalion of the 3rd Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade, which is subordinate to the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Federation. In particular, he held the positions of deputy chief of staff of the battalion, deputy battalion commander for logistics and driver-mechanic of an armoured infantry vehicle.<\/p>\n
The suspects received weapons, ammunition, ammunition and performed tasks related to the conduct of hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, both directly and by issuing orders to subordinate servicemen.<\/p>\n
In this way, they assisted in subversive activities against Ukraine as part of the Russian armed forces.<\/p>\n
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the men have been fighting in the settlements of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.<\/p>\n
The special pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the SBU Office in Lviv region.<\/p>\n
