On 26 May, soldier Petro Dumych was buried in his native village of Telyazh. Many residents from nearby villages came to the local church to say goodbye to the soldier.<\/h2>\n

The sad news was reported by Father Vladimir Zharsky.<\/p>\n

The churchyard was completely filled. A military chaplain from the military unit from which the future Hero of Ukraine was drafted took part in the burial.<\/p>\n

After the funeral service, Father Orest addressed the family and the community with words of gratitude for raising a true patriot of Ukraine who voluntarily went to defend its independence and gave his life for it.<\/p>\n

At the local cemetery, a military officer gave the family a Ukrainian flag.<\/p>\n

The first deputy mayor Mykola Pasko addressed the grieving family and, on his knees, apologised to them for failing to save the life of Petro, as well as others from the Sokal community, during the brutal war.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On 23 March 2024, as a result of the dropping of an explosive device from a UAV near the settlement of Kurdyumivka, Donetsk region, Dumych Petro<\/a>, born in 1996, a resident of the village of Telyazh, died.<\/p>\n
