According to the investigation, in April 2022, the suspect voluntarily took a position of a fire rescuer in an illegal law enforcement agency created by representatives of the aggressor state.<\/p>\n
This is the 70th fire and rescue unit of the state budgetary institution “Volnovakha Fire and Rescue Detachment of the Ministry of Civil Protection, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Donetsk People’s Republic”.<\/p>\n
Having pledged allegiance to the illegal formation, the suspect, by his actions, contributes to the establishment and consolidation of the temporary occupation of a part of the territory of Ukraine in Donetsk region.<\/p>\n
The special pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations in Lviv city based on the materials of the SBU Office in Lviv region.<\/p>\n
Note: Pursuant to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.<\/p>\n
