The children were delighted to see the exposition “Treasures of Count Karol Lianckoronski” – dozens of ceramics, decorative wood, weapons, graphics, art metal and artistic paintings from the collection of the count. There are also contemporary paintings by the famous artist Emma Andievska, who has become a brand of Ukrainian surrealism.<\/p>\n
Inspired by the art, the students plunged into the fascinating process of Petrykivka painting. Nataliia Moroz, a researcher at the European Art Department, told the curious visitors about the main features and symbolism of this art form. The drawings created using the Petrykivka painting technique impress with their detail and attention to miniature. Each element of the colourful drawings has its own significance, which adds depth and richness to the works.<\/p>\n
The children used the most popular themes of this painting – flowers, birds, sun, trees, geometric ornaments – and created their own drawings. They confidently and enthusiastically chose colours and created colourful miniatures.<\/p>\n
The handmade drawings will long remind schoolchildren of the interesting and informative master class at the Drohobychchyna Museum.<\/p>\n
