During the summer, the roads of the Lviv region are subject to restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles at air temperatures above +28C.<\/p>\n
Restrictions and a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles weighing more than 24 tonnes and with an axle load of more than 7 tonnes on national roads are in place.<\/p>\n
In order to preserve the road surface, patrol police officers suggest that drivers of heavy vehicles exceeding the specified daytime temperature should stop at temporary parking areas in the road right-of-way and near road service facilities until the temperature drops.<\/p>\n
Patrol police crews monitor drivers’ compliance with traffic rules.<\/p>\n
All truck drivers are asked to take this information into account when planning their routes.<\/p>\n
