A native of Zhytomyr region intended to illegally leave the country by hiding in the sleeping compartment of a Mercedes truck. The truck driver expected to receive USD 3,000 for his services after crossing the border.<\/p>\n
When entering the checkpoint, the driver said that he was travelling alone, and the border guards made a note of this in the control ticket. During the inspection of the car, border guards noticed a “hare” hiding in the sleeping compartment of the car under a blanket.<\/p>\n
In this way, the 34-year-old resident of Zhytomyr wanted to avoid passing control and get to Germany, as he had no legal grounds for travelling abroad.<\/p>\n
As a result, administrative proceedings were drawn up against the man who tried to illegally leave the country, and the Lviv Border Guard Detachment operatives sent a report on the detection of signs of a criminal offence under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.<\/p>\n
