According to the National Police, at the request of the National Police investigators, the 18-year-old suspect will be held in custody for 60 days without the possibility of bail during the pre-trial investigation.<\/h2>\n

As a reminder, the tragic event<\/a> took place on July 19<\/a> at about 19:30 on a street in Lviv.<\/p>\n

An unknown person fired a gunshot at the60-year-old public figure<\/a>. Doctors hospitalized the victim with a head wound. Unfortunately, Iryna Farion died a few hours later.<\/p>\n

On July 25, law enforcement officers detained a suspect in the murder of the Ukrainian activist in the city of Dnipro.<\/p>\n

Today, on July 26, the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv granted the investigators’ request and imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail.<\/p>\n

On July 21, the police announced the search for a man<\/a> who may be involved in the murder of Iryna Farion.<\/p>\n

According to the National Police, the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion was probably preparing to commit other crimes. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during a briefing in Lviv.<\/p>\n
