Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office have sent an indictment to court against the head of a company. He is charged with misappropriation of budgetary funds and forgery of official documents (Part 5 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
The investigation established that the accused misappropriated funds during the ongoing repair of the Zolochiv-Krasne local road.<\/p>\n
To do this, the man, performing construction work, entered false information into official documents. In particular, in the acts of acceptance of completed construction works and certificates of their cost, he indicated incorrect actual volumes of material used and the cost of work at the facility.<\/p>\n
As a result, the business entity unjustifiably received more than UAH 1.5 million.<\/p>\n
At the request of the prosecutor, the offender’s real and personal property was seized.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region with the operational support of the Strategic Investigations Department in Lviv region of the State Bureau of Investigations.<\/p>\n
Note: According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.<\/p>\n
