As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of a Spark SP150 moped, a 29-year-old resident of Turka, hit a pedestrian, a 20-year-old local resident.<\/p>\n
As a result of the accident, the woman and the moped driver were injured and hospitalized.<\/p>\n
Investigators of the Sambir District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.<\/p>\n
