The deal was to result in the illegal allocation of almost UAH 9 million from the budget.<\/p>\n
It was established that based on the results of the auction, the utility company and the company entered into a contract for the procurement of works. In particular, the company was to build an artificial reservoir in one of the villages of Zhovkva district.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor’s response was based on the fact that the defendant and another auction participant committed anticompetitive concerted actions to distort the results of the bidding for the procurement of the above contract works.<\/p>\n
As a result of such actions, the business entities violated the requirements of the current legislation on fair competition, maximum economy and efficiency, openness and transparency at all stages of procurement.<\/p>\n
The court agreed with the prosecutor’s arguments and ruled that the contested agreement was contrary to the interests of the state.<\/p>\n
Thus, as a result of the measures taken, the unlawful use of budget funds was prevented.<\/p>\n
