Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office ensured participation of the prosecutor in the court hearing of the defence counsel’s appeal against the commission of administrative offences related to corruption.<\/p>\n
The Lviv Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the court of first instance, which found the official guilty of violating the requirements for preventing and resolving conflicts of interest (parts 1, 2 of Article 172-7 of the Code of Administrative Offences).<\/p>\n
Prosecutors proved that the director of one of Galsillis’ subsidiaries failed to notify the NACP of a real conflict of interest. The man made decisions under conditions of conflict – he signed orders for bonuses for employees, including himself.<\/p>\n
The amount of accrued bonuses was more than UAH 400 thousand. During the trial, he returned the funds to the company’s account.<\/p>\n
Thus, the court found the man guilty of a number of the above administrative offences and imposed a fine in the amount of two hundred tax-free minimum incomes.<\/p>\n
