When the firefighters arrived at the scene, thick black smoke was coming out of the dryer and a fire was visible in the middle of the dryer. Due to the heavy smoke, the firefighters had to work in special respiratory and eye protection devices.<\/p>\n
At 00:34, the firefighters contained the fire and eliminated it at 01:43. The fire destroyed several tonnes of sunflower seeds and damaged the drying room and the solid fuel boiler.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of firefighters, the fire was prevented from spreading and the drying building and grain storage facility were saved from destruction.<\/p>\n
A total of 35 rescuers and 6 units of specialised equipment were engaged in the firefighting operations.<\/p>\n
