Tomorrow, 27 August, Lviv residents and visitors are invited to join the city’s ceremonies of farewell to the fallen defenders. Yuriy Andriyenko, Pavlo Gebuza, Modest Zubrytskyi and Oleksandr Kachmarik were killed in action while defending Ukraine. The mayor’s office asks to refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during the time of farewell to the soldiers.<\/p>\n

The farewell and funeral service for the defenders Yuriy Andriyenko, Pavlo Gebuza and Modest Zubrytskyi will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul in Lviv, and at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square.<\/p>\n

The funeral service for Oleksandr Kachmarik will begin at 14:00 in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, followed by a city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square at 14:30.<\/p>\n

All four soldiers will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.<\/p>\n

Modest Zubrytskyi (23.11.1979 – 13.08.2024) Lviv resident.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Modest Zubrytskyi (23.11.1979 – 13.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.<\/p>\n

He studied at the V. Stus Lyceum of International Relations of the Lviv City Council. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.<\/p>\n

He worked in law firms and was an entrepreneur. In his spare time, he enjoyed travelling, listening to music and cycling. He founded his own travel agency and visited many countries.<\/p>\n

During the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended Ukraine as a member of the A0500 military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Modest Zubrytskyi is survived by his beloved girlfriend, sisters, brothers, aunt, godparents and nephews.<\/p>\n

Yurii Andriienko (07.02.1971 – 08.08.2024) Lviv resident.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yurii Andrienko (07.02.1971 – 08.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.<\/p>\n

He studied at the secondary school \u211622 named after V.S. Stefanyk in Lviv. He received his vocational education at the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Technology and Service.<\/p>\n

He worked for a long time in the road transport industry. In his spare time, he was interested in motorcycles and cars. According to his family, Yurii was a loving son, husband and father.<\/p>\n

He was a soldier. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended Ukraine in the 59th separate motorised infantry brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk of the operational command “South” of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed combat missions in the Donetsk sector.<\/p>\n

Yurii Andrienko is survived by his wife, son, daughter and mother.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Kachmarik (22.04.2000 – 19.08.2024) A resident of Lviv.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Oleksandr Kachmarik (22.04.2000 – 19.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.<\/p>\n

He studied at the secondary school \u211699 in Lviv. Lviv. He graduated with a degree in hotel and restaurant management from the Lviv Cooperative College of Economics and Law.<\/p>\n

He worked in his field of study and later as a sales manager in an online store. According to his family, Sashko was positive, charismatic and courageous, had leadership qualities, and strived to be the first in everything. He was fond of football, from an early age he supported the Karpaty football club in Lviv.<\/p>\n

During the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the 192nd separate territorial defence battalion of the 124th separate territorial defence brigade of the regional directorate “South” of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his homeland. He defended Ukraine in the Kherson direction.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Kachmarik is survived by his parents, brother and large family.<\/p>\n

Pavlo Gebuza (11.04.1989 – 18.08.2024) A resident of Lviv.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Pavlo Gebuza (11.04.1989 – 18.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.<\/p>\n

He studied at School No. 69 (now the Lyceum “Intellect” of the Lviv City Council) and the Educational Complex “School-Gymnasium of the I-III degrees of Blessed Clement and Andrey Sheptytsky”. He received his professional education in food technology at the Lviv Vocational College of Food and Processing Industry of the National University of Food Technologies.<\/p>\n

He worked for the Private Joint Stock Company Concern Khlibprom and the Limited Liability Company Trading House Interelectro Ukraine. According to his family, Pavlo was a kind and compassionate person, he loved cooking, loved life most of all and was in no hurry.<\/p>\n

During the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the ranks of the 49th separate infantry battalion “Carpathian Sich” named after Oleh Kutsyn of the 93rd separate mechanised brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” of the operational command “East” of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine. He performed combat missions in the Donetsk sector.<\/p>\n
