On 28 October, at 18:36, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in Stryi: an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-storey residential building was burning.<\/p>\n
Rescuers from the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Stryi were sent to the scene.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at the scene, the fire engulfed household items in one of the apartments.<\/p>\n
Due to the heavy smoke, firefighters had to work in respiratory and eye protection devices.
\nAt 18:58, firefighters contained the fire and extinguished it at 19:07.<\/p>\n
A total of 8 firefighters and 2 units of special equipment were engaged in the firefighting operations.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, there were some casualties. It was the owner of the apartment who was rescued by his neighbours. The man was unconscious due to poisoning by combustion products.
