He came to the defence of Ukraine from the beginning of the ATO\/JFO. He died on 27 October during a combat mission near Novodmitrivka, Donetsk region. He joined the ranks of volunteers in November 2022. He defended Ukraine as part of the 14th separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was considered missing since 12 May 2023. He was performing combat missions near the village of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. He was a rifleman of the assault specialised unit of the SHKVAL battalion. He was reported missing on 7 August 2024. He died near the village of Pereizne, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the 24th separate mechanised brigade named after King Danylo. He was killed during a combat mission on 25 October near the village of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region.<\/p>\n<h3>Ihor Polevyi<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_187566\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-187566\" style=\"width: 723px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-187566\" src=\"https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Ihor-Polovyy.jpeg\" alt=\"\u0406\u0433\u043e\u0440 \u041f\u043e\u043b\u044c\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0439 (\u00ab\u0421\u043b\u043e\u043d\u00bb) (20.10.1996-23.10.2024)\" width=\"723\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Ihor-Polovyy.jpeg 723w, https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Ihor-Polovyy-212x300.jpeg 212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-187566\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ihor Polevyi (&#8220;Elephant&#8221;) (20.10.1996-23.10.2024)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He was born in the village of Dyula, Zakarpattia region, in a family of border guards.<\/p>\n<p>Ihor Polevyi&#8217;s father performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone, so when he was 17, he enrolled in the SBGSU training centre to go to the front.<\/p>\n<p>He served as a member of the Odesa Border Guard Detachment (Odesa Air Force) and later entered the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Later, Ihor Polevyi served in the Special Operations Department of the 1st Odesa Maritime Security Detachment.<\/p>\n<p>He was promoted to lieutenant. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he performed combat missions in the Kherson and Mykolaiv directions, and was transferred to the 15th Mobile Border Guard Detachment &#8220;Steel Border&#8221;. Here, he was appointed to the position of Head of the Border Guard Service&#8217;s Ground and Air Reconnaissance Department (Type C). He performed combat missions in the eastern direction. For his personal courage, he was awarded numerous decorations, including the medal &#8220;For Military Service to Ukraine&#8221;, the &#8220;Badge of Honour&#8221; of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, departmental awards and personalised firearms.<\/p>\n<h3>Andrii Hrusha<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_187565\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-187565\" style=\"width: 724px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-187565\" src=\"https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Andriy-Hrusha.jpeg\" alt=\"\u0410\u043d\u0434\u0440\u0456\u0439 \u0413\u0440\u0443\u0448\u0430 (26.03.1971-26.10.2024). \u041b\u044c\u0432\u0456\u0432\u2019\u044f\u043d\u0438\u043d.\" width=\"724\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Andriy-Hrusha.jpeg 724w, https:\/\/golossokal.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Andriy-Hrusha-212x300.jpeg 212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-187565\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Andrii Hrusha (26.03.1971-26.10.2024).
