The detainee stabbed the victim with a knife, causing serious bodily harm. The man died in hospital from his injuries.<\/p>\n
On 8 November, at about 23.00, the police received a report from doctors that, having arrived at a house on Lysenko Street in Radekhiv, they had found a man with a stab wound and hospitalised him.<\/p>\n
An investigative team and officers from other services of the Chervonohrad District Police Department No. 1, as well as forensic experts from the Lviv Police Department, immediately arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
As law enforcement officers established, a domestic conflict arose between the 38-year-old owner of the apartment and his partner, a 40-year-old local resident, during which the woman stabbed the man. Despite the efforts of medics, the victim died in hospital.<\/p>\n
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court will soon choose a measure of restraint.<\/p>\n
Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural supervision of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office, served the detainee a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
