A tragic car accident occurred on January 5 at around 3:40 PM on the “Western Bypass of Lviv” road near the village of Sokilnyky in the Lviv district.<\/p>\n
Preliminary police reports indicate that a collision took place between two vehicles: a Renault Megane<\/strong>, driven by a 35-year-old Lviv resident, and a Volkswagen Passat<\/strong>, operated by a 24-year-old resident of Lviv.<\/p>\n As a result of the crash, both drivers and a 60-year-old passenger of the Renault Megane sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Unfortunately, the passenger succumbed to his injuries in the hospital despite medical efforts.<\/p>\n Investigators from the Lviv region’s traffic crimes unit have launched a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Violation of Traffic Safety Rules”).
