The project, which required a total cost of 110,000 UAH, was funded 30% by residents and 70% by the city, with 77,000 UAH covered by municipal funds.<\/p>\n<h3>Restoration Details<\/h3>\n<p>The restoration process lasted several months. The door was heavily damaged, and its natural beauty was hidden under layers of paint. The restoration team replaced damaged wooden sections, reconstructed missing decorative elements, installed new glass, and added modern handles. The final touch included coating the wood with acrylic glaze and stain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe door was in critical condition. Its size and damage posed challenges, but we preserved its intricate carvings and restored its original charm,\u201d said restorer Rostyslav Maletskyi.<\/p>\n<h3>A Milestone for Antonovycha Street<\/h3>\n<p>This is the first restored door on Antonovycha Street under the co-financing program. \u201cCollaboration with residents allowed us to preserve a significant piece of the city\u2019s architectural heritage,\u201d noted Stefania Topilko, director of the Heritage Bureau.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Restoration Achievements in Lviv<\/h3>\n<p>In 2024, restoration efforts in Lviv\u2019s historic area included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restoring <strong>10 doors<\/strong> and <strong>9 windows<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Replacing <strong>9 plastic windows<\/strong> with wooden ones, including balcony blocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The co-financing program has been extended until 2029.
